Portraiture.
I specialize in creative, natural light portraiture. Making a portrait is a beautiful, layered experience, which I deeply enjoy. I hope that my work conveys the character of the person standing in front of the camera, and that it is an image which they feel represents them clearly, and with sensitivity.
I feel like we are presently living in a world which often likes to promote perfection, glamour, and gloss. I prefer rawness, authenticity, edges, idiosyncrasies, complexity and uniqueness. I want to make images that recognize people at a depth. Images that a loved one will look at and think - yes. Yes. This is the person that I love.
