Mother/Daughter/Cat and Doggo

It was such a pleasure to photograph Tracy, her daughter Joey, and their creature companions, Frankie and Roo. I’ll share a little selection from our session, and a kind review from Tracy. This session was in the summer of 2025, in Victoria, BC.

Thank you, Tracy, for these kind words….

”I began following Stasia on social media a few years ago after seeing a series of photos from a shoot in Mexico. Stasia has a remarkable gift for honouring the world through her lens: finding beauty in the dramatic moments of lives well lived, evoking curiosity about the everyday rhythms of human existence, awakening awe for the power of nature, and framing the vivid architectures of landscapes.

With such admiration for her artistic work, I felt fortunate to book a session for my daughter’s graduation photos with a small hope that there might be time for a few family photos. I should clarify that our family includes a sweet but sassy dog and a wiggly cat. Stasia is, without question, a consummate professional—punctual, transparent with pricing, and efficient with time. Stasia's communication is exemplary; she took the time to learn about our lives, interests, and hopes for the shoot, and then thoughtfully proposed a location and time frame that fit beautifully.

My daughter and I both tend to freeze in front of a camera—but not with Stasia. Her genuine interest and kind presence created a sense of ease and safety, allowing us to soften, open up, and even play with the camera. She was patient with our entire family, and her sense of humor is delightful, even while she convinced our pup to stick around! What I received was so much more than a photo session: it was a moment for my daughter to be celebrated, our family to be documented with care, and the gift of spending time with such a wonderful woman.”
